Job Overview:

Pin Point Recruitment is currently seeking a Locum Consultant Histopathologist to join a prestigious and growing team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust . This fixed-term contract position offers the chance to work in a dynamic, supportive, and forward-thinking department, providing high-quality services at one of the leading hospitals in South London.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide first-class clinical service within the Histopathology department, covering all aspects of provision and relevant management duties.

Participate in disease-specific discussions within MDT meetings and contribute to departmental research interests.

Provide clinical supervision of junior medical staff and assist with their development.

Contribute to teaching, examination, accreditation duties, and CPD initiatives.

Engage in departmental audits, governance programs, and learning from clinical incidents.

Take an active role in the formulation and implementation of the department's Business Plan, working with internal and external agencies.

Ensure compliance with all Trust infection prevention and control policies.

Take on Divisional management duties, collaborating with colleagues and enhancing job satisfaction for staff.

Person Specification:

Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) , or eligibility for registration.

FRCPath or equivalent qualification in Histopathology.

A proven track record of experience in all aspects of Histopathology, with expertise in both diagnostic and clinical practice.

Experience in teaching and supervising junior medical staff.

Effective communicator with leadership skills within multidisciplinary teams.

Experience in audit, research, and publishing relevant Histopathology studies.

Previous management or leadership qualifications in Histopathology or related areas.

Familiarity with current changes and initiatives in the healthcare service.
