Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Whole-Time Locum Consultant Haematologist with expertise in Haemostasis and Thrombosis. This role involves providing high-quality patient care within a teaching hospital setting. The successful candidate will collaborate with a dedicated team and engage in various clinical and administrative responsibilities. Candidates must hold GMC registration and demonstrate qualifications in Haematology.
The post is that of a Whole-Time Locum Consultant Haematologist with a specialist interest in Haemostasis and Thrombosis within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital for 12 months.
Any candidate who wishes to work less than full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.

Main duties of the job
The appointee will, together with consultant colleagues, be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive Haemostasis and Thrombosis Service. It is expected that the successful candidate will work flexibly and co-operatively with other members of the team in order to provide a high quality, comprehensive service within this teaching hospital environment.
The allocation of time between the various duties of the post will be open to some adjustment in consultation with consultant colleagues and the employing Trust. The appointee will work with colleagues to deliver a Haemostasis and Thrombosis attending system on a 1:5 rotational basis from 09.00 - 17.00hrs Mon - Fri and 1:5 on call weekends and nights. On call intensity is deemed to be at Band B supplement.
