Job Description:

CPL Healthcare UK/ RIG Locums are excited to work closely with a haematology department in Buckinghamshire who are searching for a Locum Consultant Haematologist for an ASAP start. You will be joining a progressive cancer department that has:

  • Level 2b service including induction treatment for acute leukaemia & intensive treatment for high-grade lymphomas.
  • In the process of gaining accreditation for an on-site autologous stem cell transplant service (a Perm Consultant Applicant will need to take the Lead on this service)
  • Hickman and Picc lines inserted under ultrasound guidance by a team of consultant radiologists
  • Part of the Oxford multidisciplinary team for lymphoma, myeloma, and leukaemia

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Joining an existing team of 5 Haematologists (WTE)
  • Supported by 3 registrars on the Oxford training programme, a specialty doctor, core trainee, FY1, and 3 specialist nurses
  • Contributing to the care of malignant and non-malignant patients
  • Working in a purpose-built Cancer Centre (2020)
  • 9-5 role, Monday to Friday – 10 PA
  • Hourly rate to be discussed
  • Start ASAP – initially for 3 months
