Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is offering locum Consultant Psychiatrist roles across the UK, including Forensic settings in hospitals, community and prisons. The positions are flexible, with short-term and long-term assignments available, and start ASAP.

You will work within multidisciplinary teams, conduct assessments, lead treatment planning, and liaise with external partners. NHS experience and Section 12/AC/GMC registration are essential.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• DBS or PVG check, or willingness to undergo one.
• NHS experience in adult mental health settings.
• UK Right to Work.
• Section 12, AC approval & GMC specialist registration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and reviews.
• Lead treatment planning and clinical decision-making.
• Support junior medical staff and MDTs.
• Liaise with community services and external partners.

About the Role

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
• NHS experience in adult mental health settings
• UK Right to Work
