Job summary

The ENT department at West Herts Hospitals is seeking to appoint a locum ENT consultant for 12 months to join the team, totaling 10 PA. Following 6-9 months as a locum, the post has secured funding to convert to a substantive consultant role, which will be via a competitive interview. The role is generalist with a specialist interest in head & neck surgery, and experience in surgical management of common, non-specialized conditions in children is expected. Applications for job share and part-time work are welcomed. The successful appointee will join the Head & Neck directorate of ENT, Oral Surgery & Ophthalmology, working across all West Herts sites including Watford General, St Albans City Hospital, and Hemel Hempstead Hospital. The appointee will also support out-of-hours regional network on call via East & North Herts (Lister Hospital). With new hospital developments in Watford and updates at St Albans, this is an exciting opportunity.
