An exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the CAMHS team in Hemel Hempstead, addressing growing demand. This newly created role will involve working within a strong multidisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership, and ensuring positive outcomes for young clients. The successful candidate will be supported by existing consultants and a range of trainees.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our CAMHS team in Hemel Hempstead for a year. This position has arisen because the current consultant psychiatrist has taken on a clinical director role for the Provider collaborative and requires 6 PAs to backfill his clinical duties.
Hemel Hempstead is part of the West CAMHS team, which also includes the St Albans CAMHS team. The successful candidate will be based in the Hemel Hempstead Team.
This is a newly created post to address the growing demand on our service.
The successful candidate will join the existing 2 Consultant Psychiatrists in the St Albans clinic and will backfill for another consultant psychiatrist in the Hemel Hempstead clinic. The team also includes 2 higher trainees (ST4-6), 2 core psychiatry trainees, a GP trainee, 2 SAS doctors, and a multidisciplinary team comprising psychotherapists, psychologists, family therapists, social workers, clinical nurse specialists, and independent prescribers.
