Job summary

This post is for a 12 month locum appointment of a Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in invasive electrophysiology and Cardiac Devices.

Main duties of the job

The appointee will be expected to be proficient in the management of all arrhythmia patients, ablation for SVT and AF, and the implantation and follow-up of all Cardiac Device patients.Sub-speciality interests would be encouraged particularly in the areas of ablation of ventricular tachycardia, as well as inherited cardiac conditions & adult congenital heart disease.

  • Independent (1st) operator for EP/ ablation cases for SVT and AF
  • Experience of complex EP cases (structural heart VT, atypical flutter)
  • Proficient in management of all device issues and arrhythmias
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.

  • Subspecialty experience and interests in one of: Ablation of structural heart VT
  • Inherited cardiac conditions with emphasis on channelopathties
Management and Administrative Experience Essential
