Role: Locum Consultant Breast Radiologist

Shifts:

Monday to Friday, full or part-time considered. Job plan to be negotiated with suitable candidates. Consultants must hold CCT, otherwise the booking must be at AS level.

Opportunity:

Join a prestigious NHS trust as a dedicated, skilled, and knowledgeable Locum Radiology Consultant. You will work flexibly as an expert consultant, analyzing images to diagnose, monitor, and treat various conditions, diseases, and injuries.

Team & Technology:

Work alongside a friendly, multidisciplinary team using advanced imaging technology including CT, MRI, PET, and fusion imaging. Access a wide range of development and support packages to enhance your skills and explore new intervention techniques.

Candidate Requirements:

• GMC registered Doctor (not necessarily on the Specialist Register)
• Relevant experience at Consultant level or supporting references
• Evidence of Right to Work in the UK (no visa sponsorship for locum jobs)
• Pass an enhanced DBS check

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use images to diagnose, treat, and manage medical conditions
• Provide expert guidance to other healthcare professionals
• Liaise with staff to ensure quality treatment
• Elect appropriate radiology techniques and guide interventional treatments
• Support patients and communicate findings effectively
• Engage in shared decision-making with patients
• Lead or work within multidisciplinary teams
• Assess patient requirements and delegate tasks
• Recognize and report patient condition changes
• Perform administrative tasks as needed
