Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant Breast Radiologist post at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a replacement post offering 10 programmed activities.
It is an exciting time to join our enthusiastic and dynamic Imaging department. MKUH is embarking on an extensive redevelopment, including a new Scanning Centre and a CDC programme. The breast imaging department features digital imaging with breast tomography and will soon implement Contrast Enhanced Spectral Mammography (CESM).
The ideal candidate should have broad radiology experience, including specialized skills in breast radiology and experience with the National Breast Screening Programme. Responsibilities include departmental audit, clinical governance, on-call duties, training, and participation in MDT meetings. The role encompasses all imaging areas related to breast services, including ultrasound, image-guided interventions, digital breast tomography, breast MRI, CT, and plain radiography.
There are opportunities to develop further special interests aligned with departmental and Trust strategies. The post requires maintaining high standards of performance and up-to-date knowledge and skills.
The main base is Milton Keynes University Hospital, with possible work at other Trust locations such as community diagnostic centres.
