Job summary

Menlo Park Recruitment is assisting a well-established practice in Maldon, Essex to recruit a Locum ANP. The six‑month contract may be split into two part‑time posts. The workload is mainly acute day presentations with some longer appointments.

The successful candidate will have primary care experience, be an independent prescriber, be NMC registered, and proficient with SystmOne. You will work autonomously within an experienced MDT and cover Mondays and Fridays as essential shifts.

Job description

We are currently recruiting a Locum ANP to support a well-established practice with a very supportive and experienced MDT. The practice is able to accommodate a start date as soon as possible and the position is likely to last around six months. Candidates should have previous primary care experience, be an independent prescriber, and be confident using SystmOne. You will be comfortable working autonomously, including prescribing and clinical decision-making, and will be supported by an experienced in-house team of salaried GPs, nurses, and non-clinical staff. This is a full-time role, however, the practice would consider two part-time ANP’s instead. The workload is mostly acute, on day presentations with some more complex appointments where longer appointment times are given, for example, mental health appointments. A fantastic opportunity for some long-term work with a highly rated practice.

Salary & Location

• Salary – £45- £50 per hour

Your role

• Cover for six months – Mondays and Fridays are essential

• Home visits may occasionally be required – have a Paramedic who does majority
• Structured time for admin
• Prescribe independently within the scope of professional practice, ensuring safe and effective patient care
