Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join a GP practice in Chichester. The role offers flexible sessional work with a supportive multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care and enhance clinical outcomes.

The ANP will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, with a structured workflow and clear expectations in a well-organised primary care environment.

Qualifications

• ANP Level 7 qualification.
• V300 Independent Prescribing registration.
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required.
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborative work with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.

This role is ideal for an autonomous clinician seeking flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care environment, with full support from an established multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes. The practice offers a structured workflow, clear expectations and a supportive clinical setup to make each session efficient and manageable.

Key Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics

Requirements

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate)
• V300 Independent Prescribing
• Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings
• Ability to work autonomously and safely
• Familiarity with common primary care systems (EMIS / SystmOne / Vision)
• Enhanced DBS

Working Pattern

• Up to 4 days per week, flexible sessions
• Morning and afternoon clinics available
• Opportunity for long-term block bookings
