Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work for a GP practice in Chelmsford. This role is ideal for an autonomous clinician seeking flexible sessional work within a well-organised primary care environment, with full support from an established multidisciplinary team.

You will independently assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations, deliver evidence-based care, and contribute to high-quality clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7/Postgraduate) required.
  • V300 Independent Prescribing required.
  • Recent experience in primary care, urgent care or walk-in settings.
  • Ability to work autonomously and safely.
  • Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
  • Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

  • Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
  • Completing long-term condition reviews where required.
  • Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
  • Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
  • Ordering and interpreting investigations.
  • Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.
