Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioners to deliver independent ANP-led clinics across local primary care settings in Galashiels. You can choose flexible sessions that fit your clinical strengths and preferred shift patterns.

You will support multiple GP practices by managing urgent access, routine reviews and minor illness assessments with autonomous practice and clear clinical support from service leads.

Qualifications

• Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner with Level 7 qualification.
• Current V300 Independent Prescribing status.
• Experience in GP, urgent care, walk-in or community services.
• Ability to work autonomously in new environments.
• Broad adaptability across clinical systems.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Running independent ANP clinics across various primary care settings.
• Managing acute and minor illness presentations.
• Telephone and face-to-face triage.
• Prescribing safely within scope of competence.
• Handling clinical actions such as results and follow-up.
• Documenting accurately within each service’s clinical system.

You will support multiple primary care providers by delivering safe, autonomous ANP-led clinics. Each booking is arranged to suit your availability, with clear expectations and consistent clinical support from service leads.
