Job description

Locum Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner – Merseyside OOHs

GP World have an amazing new nursing opportunity as an Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner across multiple locations in Essex for an Out of Hours service. Sites are located across Basildon, Thurrock, Braintree, Southend and Broomfield. These sites offer a wide range of locum work in an incredibly diverse patient population who present with a variety of medical and social needs, delivering innovative and sustainable care for all.

Shift Patterns: 0800 - 1800, 0800 - 1300/1400, 0800 - 2000, 1800 - 0000, 0000 - 0800 & 1800 - 2200

Days: Offer Up to 7 days a week

Rates: £45 - £75 per hour depending on experience

Start date: As soon as possible

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the NMC or equivalent
  • Nursing Diploma or equivalent
  • Masters (MSc) in nursing or equivalent (Advanced Practice certificate/transcripts required)
  • Independent Prescriber (V300)
  • Experience in palliative care
  • Ability to verify death
  • Must cover illness

Role Purpose and Skills:

Must be able to work autonomously in delivering independent assessment, clinical examination, diagnosis, clinical decision making, planning of care and treatment, prescribing, health promotion, and safe discharge of patients. Need to be able to see/assess/treat patients of all ages (adults, children including newborns) presenting with illness and injury.
