Locums First is seeking a Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioner to cover sessions in Crook and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible, sessional work across primary care settings, aligning with your clinical background, service type and availability.

You will deliver autonomous assessments, manage acute presentations and support routine primary care activity. Sessions are scheduled to fit your calendar, with short-term, ad-hoc or regular bookings available.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification (Level 7) required.
• Background in Nursing, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy or similar.
• Independent Prescribing qualification preferred.
• Experience in GP, UTC, walk-in or urgent care services.
• Ability to adapt to different clinical environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Delivering independent ACP-led clinics across local primary care settings.
• Assessing and managing undifferentiated presentations.
• Providing telephone or face-to-face triage.
• Prescribing safely within your scope of practice.
• Supporting clinical workflows such as results and follow-up actions.
• Documenting accurately within service-specific clinical systems.
