Are you a Technician seeking a new opportunity? Have you considered an opportunity within the rail industry?

Currently seeking Technicians on a permanent basis to join a growing rail business based in Peterborough.

As a Technician, you will work on a varied shift pattern and will be offered a competitive base salary of £33,000 plus a 12.5% shift allowance, totaling approximately £37,125 annually.

The primary responsibilities include locomotive maintenance to ensure fleet reliability, executing contract maintenance and engineering projects within specified timescales and budgets.

These roles are suitable for individuals with locomotive experience or technicians experienced with large diesel engines.

Your tasks will include:

  • Carrying out maintenance, repairs, overhauls, modifications, and fault-finding activities.
  • Leading specific technical engineering issues and guiding other engineers.
  • Collaborating with the Business Development team to identify new opportunities and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Providing reports and information to line managers and other stakeholders.

Competencies required include:

  • Engineering Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • BTEC National Certificate / ONC in Engineering or European equivalent.
  • Proven experience with Diesel engineering technology and related systems.
  • Ability to develop skills and expertise in oneself and others.
  • High standards of quality and attention to detail.
  • Effective conflict handling and a passive working approach.
  • Logical, analytical problem-solving skills.
