Job description

Locally Employed Doctor (CT/ST3+ level) Anaesthesia and Critical Care

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer a Clinical Fellow / Locally Employed Doctor (LED) role aimed at anaesthetists who are passionate about their careers and looking to join a close-knit, dynamic, and experienced team to deliver anaesthetic and critical care services. The role is ideally suited for trainees seeking to develop their portfolio to re-enter training to achieve CCT or to embark on a CESR programme.

If required, the successful applicant will benefit from support from the College Tutor and a named Educational Supervisor to help achieve CT3/4 equivalent (stage 1 top-up) training requirements where applicable.

All Trust-appointed doctors are required to engage with continuing professional development guided by the Royal College of Anaesthesia. There is also a mandatory training programme that all relevant staff must complete.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be expected to anaesthetise and deliver all aspects of peri-operative care. They will also participate in the middle-grade on-call rota.
