We’d love you to join our Stockport Family! We are seeking dedicated, caring children’s social workers to support our children and their families.
Our approach emphasizes relationships; social workers assess and intervene from the point a family needs support until they no longer require statutory services, with no transition points, which families value highly.
As a Team Leader, you will develop and support social workers across all intervention levels, gaining diverse skills and experiences. You will supervise teams of six social workers and two senior practitioners, working across duty and long-term cases.
We prioritize career development through mentoring, buddying, and annual PDRs, supporting your long-term career goals. You will be part of a friendly team with experienced senior practitioners and a nurturing service leader.
Our current social workers say:
We value building relationships and empowering families. Ideally, you will have experience across duty and locality systems, court proceedings, and pre-proceedings processes.
You should be passionate, hardworking, and team-oriented, committed to making a difference and helping children reach their potential. We support your ongoing learning and development.
Our vision is for all children to have the best start in life, supported by our outcomes framework focusing on safety, community, health, confidence, happiness, voice, and caring relationships.
We practice restorative approaches, emphasizing relationships and high support and challenge. We provide extensive training, supervision, and innovative services like New Beginnings and Comma.
We offer a supportive, vibrant environment with a focus on wellbeing, flexible working, and inclusive policies. As part of the Good Employment Charter, we are committed to fair wages and staff engagement.
