Your Role

We’d love you to join our Stockport Family! We are seeking dedicated, caring children’s social workers to support our children and their families.

Our approach emphasizes relationships; social workers assess and intervene from the point a family needs support until they no longer require statutory services, with no transition points, which families value highly.

As a Team Leader, you will develop and support social workers across all intervention levels, gaining diverse skills and experiences. You will supervise teams of six social workers and two senior practitioners, working across duty and long-term cases.

We prioritize career development through mentoring, buddying, and annual PDRs, supporting your long-term career goals. You will be part of a friendly team with experienced senior practitioners and a nurturing service leader.

Our current social workers say:

  • "I have been supported by incredible colleagues, which has helped me reflect on my practice." - Leoni, social worker
  • "I have a brilliant team and do purposeful work with children and parents." - Jess, ASYE social worker
