Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 8a Locality Clinical Lead for Birmingham Healthy Minds. The role blends direct CBT practice with clinical leadership, supervision and service development within NHS Talking Therapies.

You will strengthen clinical practice, supervise clinicians, and support delivery against service targets while shaping integrated care pathways across partners. The salary range reflects seniority and NHS pay scales.

Qualifications

• Post graduate accredited training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) fully BABCP accredited
• Completion of IAPT/NHS Talking Therapies supervision course
• Significant experience with diverse client groups and high clinical severity
• Experience supervising clinical staff including NHS TT staff
• Specialism in NHS Talking Therapies with additional education/experience
• Able to cover specified work hours including evenings/weekends
• HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist with Doctoral training
• Experience across outpatient, community and primary care settings

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment and psychological therapy within NHS Talking Therapies Service
• Act as locality clinical lead, strengthening NICE compliant interventions across stepped care
• Provide supervision, consultation and support to clinicians, trainees and multidisciplinary colleagues
• Contribute to service priorities: recovery, access, waiting times and clinical governance
• Influence service development, workforce planning and integrated care pathways
