POSITION OVERVIEW
The Localisation QA Project Manager plans, implements, and refines testing strategies according to the Localisation QA Process. The LQA PM actively manages the testing team and serves as the main contact for Localisation testing of assigned titles, communicating effectively with stakeholders to ensure productive workflows. The LQA Project Manager ensures that titles meet platform requirements and continuously seeks to improve quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the Linguistic QA process for assigned titles, including multiple concurrent projects.
- Support and oversee the implementation of LATAM language localization, providing linguistic guidance specific to LATAM territories.
- Assist management with financial assets such as POs, quotes, and tracking costs and project amendments.
- Create and update test plans, cases, and checklists; coordinate test execution to ensure adequate test coverage.
- Manage bug and text databases, ensuring defect quality and accurate documentation.
- Identify and resolve risks and issues, escalating when necessary.
- Monitor test team output and produce project status reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure localization compliance checks are completed and titles are free from issues.
- Support Voice Over/Audio tasks, including casting and file checks.
- Assist with other localization tasks as needed.
- Manage performance reviews and goal setting for team members.
- Complete post-mortem reports to improve future quality and efficiency.
- Train team members and external teams to improve workflows.
- Collaborate with Studios to understand development plans and needs.
- Support testing and deployment of localization tools, including AI prompt writing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong knowledge of LATAM language adaptation and territories.
- Experience with localization tools (e.g., memoQ, TestRail, JIRA) and AI localization solutions.
- Understanding of QA methodologies, compliance standards, and platform requirements.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Experience in budget and schedule tracking.
- Leadership skills to motivate and inspire teams.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to produce concise reports.
- Knowledge of first-party standards.
