Job summary

Adecco are pleased to recruiting to a Local Resilience Forum (LFR) Support Officer to work within the Devon & Cornwall Police Force, Exeter. This temporary role offers the opportunity to contribute to local resilience and multi-agency coordination.

The role requires an ability to manage multiple projects, strong communication skills, and experience with Microsoft Office and Resilience Direct. Hybrid working pattern with 37 hours per week, based at Exeter Police Station.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of relevant public-safety administration or coordination experience recommended.
• BTEC Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Resilience Direct.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate multi-agency cooperation across 60+ organisations to prepare for major emergencies.
• Provide advice and direction during LRF partner meetings on resilience matters.
• Support maintenance of the LRF Business Plan and risk mitigation strategies.
• Deliver the LRF Work Programme aligned with the business plan.
• Act as a key contact for the LRF with regional and national teams and the public.
• Train individuals and groups in resilience processes and ResilienceDirect usage.
• Manage the LRF training programme and related purchases.
• Assist in activating major incidents as Information Officer in the Multi Agency Information Cell.

• Working Pattern: Full Time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Hybrid

Please not this role will be subject to Police Vetting, your will need to have been residing within the UK for a minimum of 5 years continually

Our client, a prominent organisation within the public safety sector, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Local Resilience Forum (LFR) Support Officer to join their team in Exeter. This temporary role offers an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the management and coordination of local resilience efforts, contributing to the safety and well-being of communities across Devon, Cornwall, and the Isles of Scilly.

Key Responsibilities:

As the LFR Support Officer, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the LRF Manager by:

• Facilitating effective multi-agency cooperation among over 60 organisations, including police and stakeholders, to prepare for and respond to major emergencies.
• Providing advice and direction during regular meetings with LRF partners on resilience matters and multi-agency collaboration.
• Supporting the maintenance and management of the LRF Business Plan, focusing on risk mitigation strategies.
• Delivering the LRF Work Programme, prioritising tasks according to risk and ensuring alignment with the business plan.
• Acting as a key point of contact for the LRF, liaising with regional and national teams as well as the public.
• Training individuals and groups in resilience processes, especially around risk management and the use of ResilienceDirect.
• Managing the LRF training programme and overseeing related purchases.
• Assisting in the activation of major incidents, serving as the Information Officer within the LRF Multi Agency Information Cell.
• Managing key technical systems essential for partner collaboration in a resilience environment.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

• A BTEC Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
• Experience with Resilience Direct.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including government entities.
• Excellent communication abilities, capable of presenting complex information clearly to large audiences.
• Flexibility to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• A knack for teaching complicated processes to diverse groups.
• Competency in scheduling testing programmes and operating ICT equipment under pressure.
