We are seeking a Local Business Development Manager to join our Commercial Vehicle Ford business. You will cover both Perth and Stirling areas and be an integral member of our Ford Commercial Vehicle Sales teams. This role offers you the opportunity to use your relationship-building skills with local businesses across Stirling, Perth, and the surrounding areas.

What does a Local Business Development Manager do?

You will be primarily field-based, covering Stirling and Perth. Working with the wider Ford Commercial sales teams, you’ll be responsible for engaging with local business customers to assess their vehicle needs and convert these into sales of vehicles, finance, and insurance products. You will manage the entire customer experience, ensuring solutions are tailored to their needs. Your daily tasks include:

  • Identifying local businesses needing new LCVs
  • Achieving sales growth by meeting targets
  • Guiding customers through their purchase with excellent service
  • Maximising upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Managing full sales cycles from prospecting to closing deals
  • Maintaining relationships with potential and existing customers
  • Reporting on sales activities
  • Staying knowledgeable about manufacturer vehicles and options
  • Managing vehicle handover processes
  • Adhering to company and industry regulations
  • Creating a structured Territory Management Plan
  • Building relationships with local converters and body builders
Do I need experience?

Previous vehicle sales experience is preferred, but we will consider applicants from other industries, especially those with B2B sales experience. Key attributes include:
