Job Description:

Joining Waterman Aspen as Local Authority Transport Planning Manager – Strategy will see you as a key member of the Yorkshire & the Humber Team (North, South, East, and the Humber areas) and you can expect:

  • Experience in leading and implementing transport planning strategy on a regional scale to deliver across multiple social, economic, and environmental outcomes
  • Stakeholder engagement, liaising with local, regional, and national stakeholders (such as Network Rail, National Highways, Combined Authorities, etc.), and local council members, political parties, and the public
  • Experience in writing and achieving funding bids from local and central government grants, for example DfT, and combined authorities
  • Delivery of ‘green’ agendas in transportation, including active travel, road safety, and promoting behavior change policy
  • Experience of working at a senior management level in a local authority
  • Delivery of strategic policy on bus, light rail, rail, and EV planning
