The Labour Party is recruiting a Local and Regional Government Manager based in London. The role leads all Local and Regional Government work, ensuring councillors and Regional Mayors are well supported in campaigning and that Local Government contributes to both local and national elections.

Role: Local and Regional Government Manager

Salary: £56,526.71 (gross) per annum inclusive of London Weighting, with a fixed sum allowance of £1,195. There is the ability to progress to £63,586.70 over the next 3 years.

Current employees in banding 38-44 will maintain their existing salary.

Location: Head Office London

Duration: Permanent

The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Local and Regional Government Manager. The post-holder will be responsible for leading all aspects of the Labour Party’s Local and Regional Government work. Ensuring that the campaigning work of councillors and Regional Mayors is well supported, and that Local Government plays a full role in local and national elections.

The successful candidate will have:

· Knowledge of local government and local government policy issues, including finance and law.

· Thorough understanding of local Labour Party units and the work of local parties and elected representatives.

· Experience of building strong and effective relationships with Mayors and Local Government leaders.

· Excellent political judgement.
