Job summary

DPD UK is seeking a reliable 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver to join our Preston team, managing a local route with 40–50 stops daily to ensure on-time, high-quality deliveries. You’ll use Saturn handheld devices to track progress and handle loading/unloading with equipment, maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role offers Monday–Friday work, a starting rate of £16.05 per hour with enhanced overtime, and a clear path for growth within a sustainability-focused logistics leader.

Qualifications

• A valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence and DQC/CPC accreditation.
• Ideally 6 months’ recent driving experience with 7.5 Tonne vehicles.
• Professional, approachable demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically active and able to handle lifting involved in the job.
• Respectful attitude toward customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5 Tonne vehicle on local routes with 40–50 stops daily.
• Deliver and collect parcels ensuring high service standards.
• Use Saturn handheld devices for route tracking and updates.
• Load and unload parcels using sacks, barrows and hand trucks.
