Job summary

G MASS Consulting seeks a Loan Operations and Settlements specialist to join the London Operations team. You will own loan operations end-to-end and support settlements across a multi-asset trading book, including equities, futures, derivatives, credit and bonds.

The role sits in the Settlements team, empowering you to upskill colleagues and become the firm’s go-to expert on loans, with a 9-month initial contract and exposure to a broad investment-book.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in loan settlement, loan closing or loan operations in banks or asset managers
• Hands-on ClearPar experience with LSTA/LMA documentation and settlement conventions
• Experience in settlements or corporate actions across other asset classes such as equities, derivatives or fixed income
• Ability to handle non-standard events and explain loan processes clearly to others
• Ambition to broaden skills and perform at a high level

Responsibilities

• Own loan operations end-to-end from trade capture to close, including ClearPar processing
• Handle agent notices and lifecycle events (rollovers, paydowns, rate resets, amendments) and reconcile records
• Serve as SME on loans and upskill colleagues across loan systems and market conventions
• Support settlement of trades across equities, futures, derivatives, credit and bonds; resolve fails with counterparties
• Contribute to corporate actions and lifecycle event processing to close operational gaps across asset classes
• Build relationships with portfolio management, trading, trustees and global operations within information-barrier protocols
