Job summary

Our client is seeking a Loan Closing Operations Specialist to join the Credit Loans Middle Office Team in Central London on an onsite basis. This is a 6-month contract (potential extension) at a day rate of £250 per day inside IR35, paid via Umbrella Company, start ASAP, hours 08:30–18:30, Monday to Friday.

Key duties include ensuring accuracy of risk positions, resolving trade settlement issues, monitoring for new trades, confirming trades with clients, and coordinating with Legal, Compliance,

Qualifications

• Experience with Loan Market Association (LMA) and/or LSTA standards.
• Background in Bank Loans Closing, Servicing or Agency activity.
• Experience navigating Loan Credit Agreements.
• Familiarity with ClearPar is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support timely and accurate risk position reporting and resolve settlement issues.
• Monitor trading systems for new trades and confirm with clients.
• Draft, review and negotiate transfer documents and certificates.
• Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Credit, Trading Desks and Servicing teams to obtain approvals and ensure pricing/cashflows are settled.

Our client is seeking Loan Closing Operations Specialists to join the Credit Loans Middle Office Team. The team supports a range of business areas with the origination, syndication and secondary market trading of performing and non-performing loans.

They also ensure efficient pre-trade due diligence, execution and settlement across both primary and secondary loans.

As the team and workflow continue to expand, you will also gain exposure to other areas such as structured products and private equities.

Role: Loan Closing Operations Specialist
Day rate: £250 per day (inside IR35)
Pay framework: Umbrella Company
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 6 months (with possible extension)
Location: Central London - onsite full time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 18:30

Key responsibilities:

• Support the team to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the firm’s risk positions and resolve any trade settlement issues
• Monitor trading systems for new trades and confirm trades with external clients
• Draft, review and negotiate transfer documents including trade confirmations and transfer certificates
• Liaise with Legal, Compliance, Credit, Trading Desks, and Agency and Servicing teams to ensure approvals are obtained and pricing/cashflows are agreed, reconciled and settled

Essential skills:

• Understanding of Loan Market Association (LMA) and/or Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA) standards are an absolute must.
• Knowledge and previous experience in Bank Loans Closing, Servicing or Agency activity
• Experience navigating Loan Credit Agreements
• Ideally familiar with ClearPar
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Quick learner in a fast-moving environment
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of work
