Job summary

Dunbia Jaspers at our South Petherwin site in Launceston, UK, is seeking an Early Morning Loading Bay operative for the Abattoir. This role requires working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with 03:00–06:00 starts and Saturdays. Training will be provided; PPE is supplied at no extra cost.

The position pays £12.95 per hour, progressing to £13.95 after completing a skills assessment. You will follow SOPs, support production targets, and help maintain health, safety and hygiene

Overview

This is a great opportunity to join our team at Dunbia Jaspers at our South Petherwin site, working for an established company within food production in our Abattoir. Candidates need to be physically fit, enthusiastic and flexible to work in our fast paced and dynamic environment. Training will be provided so you do not need any previous experience. All PPE equipment will be supplied at no extra cost to you.

Early morning Loading Bay operative required for the loading of lorries. Will require 03.00am to 06.00am starts including Saturday mornings. Lifting and carrying will be required. Progression will include some butchery saw training.

£12.95 per hour, progressing to £13.95 when a skills assessment has been completed.

Responsibilities

• Follow and be aware of the departmental Standard Operating Procedures, training will be provided to ensure you are fully up to date with all the current SOPs.
• Maintain the fast-paced environment in line with production needs.
• Work with the manager and team to achieve the department targets.
• Promote and maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations.
