Job summary

Dunbia Group’s South Petherwin abattoir is seeking an Early Morning Loading Bay operative. Training will be provided and no prior experience is required. The role involves lifting and carrying, with PPE supplied at no cost.

Starts are 03:00–06:00, including Saturdays, in a dynamic production environment. Candidates should be physically fit, flexible and enthusiastic, able to work on their own initiative or as part of a team, and committed to high health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Training will be provided; no previous experience required.
• PPE equipment provided at no cost.

Responsibilities

• Follow and adhere to SOPs; training provided to stay up to date with SOPs.
• Maintain the fast-paced environment in line with production needs.
• Work with the manager and team to achieve department targets.
• Promote and maintain health, safety and hygiene standards.

Job description

This is a great opportunity to join our team at Dunbia Jaspers at our South Petherwin site, working for an established company within food production in our Abattoir. Candidates need to be physically fit, enthusiastic and flexible to work in our fast paced and dynamic environment. Training will be provided so you do not need any previous experience. All PPE equipment will be supplied at no extra cost to you.

Early morning Loading Bay operative required for the loading of lorries. Will require 03.00am to 06.00am starts including Saturday mornings. Lifting and carrying will be required. Progression will include some butchery saw training.

£12.95 per hour, progressing to £13.95 when a skills assessment has been completed.

Responsibilities

• Follow and be aware of the departmental Standard Operating Procedures, training will be provided to ensure you are fully up to date with all the current SOPs .
• Maintain the fast-paced environment in line with production needs.
• Work with the manager and team to achieve the department targets.
• Promote and maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations.
