Job description

As we continue to grow were looking for a People and Culture Adviser to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to become part of a thriving business and contribute to our ongoing success.

Reporting to the People and Culture Manager this is a full-time and permanent position. The working hours will be Monday Friday 8.30am 5.00pm. The Company operates a flexible working policy with office hours of 7.00am-7.00pm Monday-Friday.

What is the role

We are looking for a dedicated people-person who is passionate about our company values and culture. Driven to make a difference with an innate understanding of employee engagement and people development the role will be key in creating and delivering our people agenda in line with our 2030 vision. This will be a generalist role with a focus on supporting with people matters and learning and development. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • supporting and advising managers in employee relations and performance management matters
  • managing flexible working requests and contract changes
  • coordinating medicals and occupational health appointments
  • identifying training needs using personal development plans (PDPs) and appraisals data
  • supporting and coordinating training and development activities
  • maintaining training records and skills matrices
  • creating a training calendar
  • managing apprenticeship programmes
  • managing internal training programmes
  • managing KPIs and dashboards
  • supporting and embedding the Loadhog Edge values
  • supporting People & Culture initiatives and projects
  • supporting recruitment creating job ads CV filtering and interviewing potential candidates
  • ensuring GDPR (General Data Protection Act) compliance

The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in a people & culture/HR role or CIPD qualified
  • Good IT skills including excel word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A desire to undertake training and learn new skills.
  • Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
  • Positivity and an ability to energise others.
  • An ability to work with integrity in a highly confidential environment.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Committed to developing personal skills and abilities.
  • Good at managing interpersonal relationships.
  • A team mentality; adaptable to support the needs of the business.
  • Able to work under pressure.
