Job summary

Simmons & Hanbury is representing a major global energy trading house seeking a Legal Counsel in London to draft and negotiate LNG trading agreements and advise on compliance matters.

You'll negotiate across LNG, coal, power, ISDAs/derivatives and freight, assess legal risk, and train the wider team on ABC, competition law, AML and sanctions. The role suits an experienced lawyer with 4–8 PQE in physical commodities trading.

Qualifications

• LNG trading experience is essential.
• Broad physical commodities trading background.
• 4–8 years PQE, qualified lawyer.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate LNG trading agreements across LNG, coal, power, ISDAs/derivatives and freight.
