LMA Training and Research Hub Co-ordinator

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will:

Job responsibilities

Background

The post holder will support the leadership team of the West London Training and Research Hub team in delivering an effective training and research strategy across West London, engaging practices in developing innovative ways of working, supporting research adoption and supporting local practices to succeed in delivering exemplary patient care.

Overview

As the Hub Coordinator, you will work within the Training and Research Hub Team to organise events to promote training and research across West London as well as organising training events, courses and programmes for GP practice staff and working with practices to engage them in local research opportunities. This role will develop close relationships with practices to encourage the uptake of training, listening and adapting programmes based on feedback. They will achieve this through the development and maintenance of relationships with GP practices.

You will support the Workforce and Training Hub Leadership team with implementation of West London Training and Research strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Training and Research Hub Coordinator will be responsible for:

  1. Key Responsibilities
  2. 1. Arrangement, promotion, organisation and providing on the day support for training hub approved training events, course and programmes
  3. 2. Ensuring accurate and up to date records are kept of:-
  4. b) training providers
  5. c) expenditure costs
  6. d) attendees at training events/courses and programme
  7. 3. Ensuring evaluation forms are collated into reports and shared / fed back as necessary to the training hub team and Lead.
  8. 4. Management and reviewing of the Training and Research hub pages on the LMA Federation website, ensuring all content is correct and up to date
  9. 5. Creation of appealing and informative communications GP practice staff on training and research opportunities
  10. 6. Working with NIHR and practice colleagues to promote and engage practices in developing research opportunities across West London
  11. 7. Supporting the implementation of the eLearn education suite of programmes and resources
  12. 8. Jointly manage the training and research email inbox. Ensuring all correspondence queries and emails are dealt with efficiently, professionally and in a timely manner.
  13. 9. Ensuring the West London GP staff list and headcount figure analysis is accurate and regularly updated.
  14. 10. Distribution of the Receptionist and HCA competency booklets to GP practices and maintaining accurate records of delivery
  15. 11. Supporting with recruitment communications for potential primary care health professionals including assisting students into jobs, advertising for interest in GP practice jobs, responding to job interest enquiries, maintaining records of those interested in jobs and of GP practices and other primary care organisations advertising vacancies.
  16. 12. Being part of a West London GP Federation administrative team and working with colleagues to support the work of the wider Federation team as required.
  17. 13. Supporting adhoc projects as and when required to support the functions of the Training and Research Hub.
