Job summary

Aviva is seeking a Syndicate Accountant in London on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on delivering accurate financial and regulatory reporting for Probitas Syndicate 1492, supporting month-end and year-end close, and contributing to audit processes within a growing finance team.

Ideal candidates are recently qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or imminently qualifying, with Lloyd's or wider insurance market experience, advanced Excel skills, and a strong eye for detail and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Recently qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or imminently qualifying.
• Experience in the Lloyd's or wider insurance market with accounting/financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience supporting month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and regulatory/statutory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close and year-end close activities.
• Deliver Lloyd's and statutory regulatory reporting.
• Perform financial analysis and contribute to audit requirements.
• Maintain data integrity and support group reporting processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial controls and reporting efficiency.
