TWC Home Improvements and Permaframe Home Improvements, two of the South West’s leading home improvement companies, are seeking a dedicated Living Space Surveyor to join our dynamic teams. Working with UltraFrame products—the world leader in conservatory roofing systems with over 2 million installations across the UK—you’ll play a key role in delivering innovative conservatories, orangeries, and extensions to our valued customers.

Your Role and Impact
As a Living Space Surveyor, you’ll be at the heart of our installation process, ensuring every project is executed with precision and care. Based between our Swindon office (covering Wiltshire and Oxfordshire) and our Frome showroom in Somerset, you’ll work closely with our sales teams, fitting crews, and customers to bring their dream living spaces to life. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting detailed on-site surveys at customers’ homes to take accurate measurements and assess proposed designs for conservatories, orangeries, and extensions.
• Advising on potential design changes to ensure feasibility and compliance with planning regulations, including collecting necessary drawings and documentation for planning applications when required.
• Collaborating with UltraFrame products, known for cutting-edge conservatory technology, to ensure seamless integration of roofing systems into our living space designs.
• Coordinating with our fitting teams to schedule works, ensuring access to electricity, water supplies, and delivery/storage arrangements are confirmed with customers.
• Providing exceptional customer service by addressing questions, offering expert advice, and ensuring every project aligns with Permaframe’s and TWC’s commitment to excellent craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a meticulous, customer-focused individual with the skills to deliver precise surveys and contribute to our reputation for quality. Here’s what we need:

• Experience: Proven experience as a surveyor, ideally in the home improvement sector, with knowledge of conservatories, orangeries, or extensions. Familiarity with UltraFrame products is a plus, but training will be provided.
• Technical Skills: Ability to take accurate measurements, assess structural designs, and understand planning requirements. Proficiency in producing drawings and documentation for planning applications.
• Customer Focus: Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers, providing clear advice and updates while treating their homes with respect, ensuring a tidy workspace at all times.
• Practical Requirements: Based between Swindon and Frome, with a valid UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle (a company vehicle will be provided).
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate with sales teams, fitters, and office staff to ensure a seamless process from survey to installation.
