Salary: 20,532 - 22,232 per annum (actual salary) Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only Type: Permanent Start Date: Monday, 1st September 2025 Closing Date: Wednesday, 18th June 2025

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a high-performing secondary academy. In this key support role, you will provide supervision of whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that pupils remain on task and engaged in learning activities set by the teacher.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with young people, or for a graduate considering a future in teaching.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and support pupils to complete tasks

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy

  • Provide feedback to teachers regarding student engagement and any issues encountered

  • Support the wider school team with administrative and classroom-based tasks when required

  • Is confident managing a classroom and engaging with secondary-age students
