Job Title: Liverpool City Council – Safeguarding Service – Social Worker
Location: Liverpool
Pay Rate: £42
Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join a Safeguarding service based in Liverpool Council.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Protecting Individuals from Harm: Ensure that vulnerable individuals, including adults and children, are protected from harm, abuse, and neglect.
- Recognising Signs of Abuse: Identify signs and symptoms of various types of abuse, including physical, emotional, sexual, and financial abuse.
- Conducting Assessments: Complete assessments under the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act, and undertake Section 42 (S42) Safeguarding Enquiries.
- Collaborating with Other Agencies: Work closely with other organizations and professionals to prevent and stop both the risks and experiences of abuse or neglect.
- Supporting Clients: Assist individuals and families in meeting some of life’s biggest challenges, empowering them to improve their lives.
- Maintaining Records: Keep accurate and detailed records using both manual and electronic systems.
- Balancing Safety and Choice: Balance the right to be safe with the right of the individual to make informed choices and to have their wellbeing promoted at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK license
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
