Job summary

Recovery Connections in Redcar is seeking compassionate Detox Support Workers to help individuals through detox and early recovery in a safe, supportive environment. You will provide practical and emotional support to assist with withdrawal and preparation for next steps.

This role is 16–35 hours per week with a flexible 7-day rota, including evenings and weekends. A enhanced DBS check is required and driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to complete — fully funded).
• Driving licence desirable

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support, ensuring safety, wellbeing, and engagement
• Support individuals experiencing withdrawal, escalating concerns where needed
• Encourage engagement in recovery and preparation for next steps
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to maintain records and support admissions
