Job summary

Missing People is seeking a Participation and Research Manager to lead engagement with families, children, and adults affected by missing. You will oversee consultation and research, co-production initiatives, and evaluation projects across the charity, embedding lived experience at the heart of our work.

The role requires designing and conducting participatory studies, coordinating cross-team activity, and upskilling staff in engagement best practices, with DBS checks and flexible working

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing participation approaches to embed user-led practice across an organisation.
• Designing, leading and conducting research co-production.
• Qualitative and quantitative research methods, including with those with lived experience of an issue.
• Engaging service users or those with lived experience of an issue in a range of voice and participation activities.
• Upskilling others in participation and engagement and supporting colleagues to conduct their own participation and engagement activities.
• Knowledge of good practice in participation and engagement with a range of audiences, including those aged under 18 and those experiencing vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organisation's participation work with those affected by missing, including families, children and young people, and adults to embed this approach.
• Lead and deliver research and evaluation projects, with a focus on co-produced initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-organisational lived experience participation to ensure consistent approaches.
• Ensure teams follow best practice in participation and engagement across the charity.
