Job summary

Newsquest is seeking a Live Reporter for the Mid-Essex area, based in Colchester with duties in our Norwich newsroom. The role focuses on breaking news and engaging local communities, delivering first-class digital content on a fast-paced schedule.

You will capture stories loved by readers, respond quickly to major events, and use strong search skills to convert chatter into must-read pieces for our audiences in Norfolk and Suffolk.

The LIVE Team is committed to breaking the news that our audiences truly care about right now - from the big dramatic events to the local community stories creating chatter.

You'll be fast, you'll be first, you'll be accurate.

Resourcefulness, an eye for a good story and the adrenaline rush of breaking news are all essential in these exciting new roles.

Where will I work?

This full-time role is based in our Norwich office. You’ll work a shift-based system from 6 am to 11 pm, and at weekends, on a rota basis.
