Job description

Live Out ROTA Housekeeper job in South Kensington, London

A family with three children is seeking an experienced Housekeeper to join their fully staffed, formal household. The family is also accompanied by six pet dogs.

This is a professionally managed household with a dedicated team of staff. You will work alongside four full-time Housekeepers, reporting directly to the Head Housekeeper.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, a positive and energetic attitude, professionalism, and a strong ability to work as part of a team. A friendly disposition toward both children and pets, along with excellent communication skills, is essential for this role.

Duties to include:

  • Cleaning – including polishing and care of fine furniture
  • Laundry and ironing – including hand washing and care for delicate clothing
  • Flower arranging
  • Breakfast preparation
  • Turn down service
  • Travelling with the principals - 2-3 times a year for up to 3 weeks at each time
  • Help with packing and unpacking

House: 10 bedrooms, 5 floors

Working days: 5 days per week with 2 consecutive days off (1 guaranteed weekend off per month)

Working hours: 8 am - 5 pm or/and 9 am - 6 pm, with 1-hour lunch break - you must be able and willing to work both shift patterns

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 gross per annum

Start: As soon as the right candidate is found
