Job description

We are on the hunt for a nanny/housekeeper to join a busy, welcoming family near High Street Kensington.

The family have had a housekeeper for the last 6 and a half years, however they are going on maternity leave and will not be coming back. Therefore, they are looking for someone who is looking for their next long-term position.

The position is primarily housekeeping focused, however childcare responsibilities may pick up a bit during the school holidays.

Duties include:

Housekeeping:

  • Cleaning all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, wiping down surfaces
  • Laundry and ironing (including bed sheets)
  • Changing bed linen and making beds
  • Cleaning marble (knowledge of this essential)
  • Returning parcels, running to the shops if necessary
  • Watering the plants if it’s a hot day
  • Feeding the outdoor cats and cleaning their litter

Childcare:

  • Making the kids breakfast
  • Picking them up/dropping them at school
  • Organising their wardrobes

The family are also considering hiring an after-school nanny, therefore no evening work will be required.

In order to apply for this role, you must have a first aid certificate, an enhanced DBS certificate and a driver is a bonus.

The days/hours of the role are Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week. Some mornings will start earlier but you will finish earlier.

The ideal candidate will be confident, proactive, have strong initiative on how to run a household and be able to muck into a bustling household.
