Live In or Live Out Head Housekeeper job in Chelsea, SW London

A returning client is looking for an experienced and well organised Head Housekeeper to help in the smooth running of their home. They are currently living in a large apartment and will be moving to a larger refurbished house nearby in the next 6 / 8 months.

The family have two children aged 10 and 16 years and currently employ a Governess / Nanny and a Live in Housekeeper. When the family move, they will be employing a Chef. The female principal works from an office inside the home.

Duties to include :

Hands on cleaning to a high standard

Hands on laundry and ironing to a high standard

Supervising their Housekeeper who works 6 days per week (Thursdays off)

Pack and unpack luggage

Setting up systems and organising

The family travel every school holiday, during those periods you will revert to a 5-day week. All holidays must be taken when they are away.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a brilliant eye for detail, work well in a small team and have experience in a similar role.

House : Large 4-bedroom apartment (moving to refurbished 4 storey home nearby in 6 / 8 months time)

Days : 6 days per week (including weekends) – the client will consider 5 days per week (including weekends)

Hours : Live In, 8 / 8.30am – 8 / 8.30pm (with 2-hour break), 12 hours per day ORLive Out, 9 / 9.30am start, 9 hours per day

Accommodation : In their current apartment you will have your own private bedroom and bathroom. Future accommodation in their new home to be confirmed.

Salary : £negotiable for the right candidate
