Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and presentation.

• Organise and manage dry cleaning.
• Prepare property ahead of Principals' arrival (ideally 2 days prior).
• Reset and maintain property after departure.
• Support during residence with extended family/guests.
• Shop for breakfast items and baked goods for arrivals.
• Prepare property for family and guests.
• Monitor household supplies and keep cleaning/laundry provisions stocked.

Location: Oxford Street, London

Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, primarily morning shifts, with flexibility required for longer hours and weekend work when the Principals are in residence

Salary: £60,000 gross per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Private Housekeeper to join the team of a large, high-end private residence in Central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the property to an exceptionally high standard, with a particular focus on detailed cleaning, laundry, specialist surfaces and ensuring the residence is beautifully presented at all times.

This is a long-term opportunity for a trustworthy, responsible and experienced Housekeeper who takes pride in their work and is looking to build a lasting relationship with the household.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the property to an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and presentation
• Carry out detailed and thorough cleaning throughout the residence
• Care for specialist and delicate surfaces, furnishings and finishes using appropriate cleaning methods and products
• Manage all laundry, including washing, ironing, steaming and wardrobe care as required
• Organise and manage dry cleaning
• Ensure the property is fully prepared ahead of the Principals' arrival, ideally two days before arrival
• Complete a full reset and ensure the property is maintained following the Principals' departure
• Maintain high standards throughout periods of residence, including when extended family and guests are staying
• Assist with light household preparation, including shopping for breakfast items and collecting baked goods ahead of the family's arrival
• Assist with preparing the property for family and guests
• Monitor household supplies and ensure cleaning and laundry provisions are well stocked

Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience working as a Housekeeper within a high-end private household
• Excellent knowledge of professional cleaning techniques and products
• Experience caring for specialist surfaces, delicate furnishings and high-quality finishes
• Strong laundry and garment-care skills
• Experience managing dry cleaning
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistently high standards
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for the overall presentation of the property
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
• Comfortable working around a family, children, guests and other household staff
• Previous experience in a large private residence
