Job summary

A Star Care Agency is seeking a reliable Live-In Personal Assistant / Complex Care Support Worker to help a university student with a complex disability live independently in central Leeds.

The role is rota-based with daytime support and sleep-in cover, offering a seven-day live-in placement with accommodation and food allowance. Travel and stays away may be required, with appropriate breaks and entitlements provided.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering personal care and moving-and-handling support.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and ability to drive a large automatic vehicle.
• Willing to live in, travel or stay away as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide dignified personal care, including bathing, dressing and continence needs.
• Support safe transfers and mobility using hoists per care plan.
• Prepare meals, light domestic tasks and daily routines.
• Enable access to university, social, sporting and community activities while promoting independence.
• Drive a large automatic wheelchair-accessible vehicle safely.
• Accompany travel and overnight stays in the UK; overseas travel may be offered by prior agreement.
