Live in or Live out Senior Housekeeper Job in Newbury
A family of 5 is looking for an experienced Senior Housekeeper to manage the upkeep of their 10-bedroom home near Hungerford. This is a hands-on and demanding role, best suited to someone fit, energetic, and confident, as they will be the sole housekeeper, working closely with a team, nanny, and estate staff to ensure the smooth operation of the household.
The Senior Housekeeper will take full responsibility for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation, with additional duties including wardrobe management, occasional light personal assistant tasks, and some formal household responsibilities, such as greeting guests and serving refreshments. The household is informal when it is just the family.
The ideal candidate will be discreet, proactive, and exceptionally well-presented, with a keen eye for detail and strong kitchen skills, including the ability to occasionally prepare family meals when required.

The ideal candidate is available early to mid-April, has a few years’ experience and would be happy to hit the ground running.
Accommodation: 1-bedroom cottage in the estate, however the role can be live in or out.
Days: Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday (inclusive) 5 day work week.
Hours: 8:30am – 6:30pm.
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience and accommodation.
