A private estate in Norfolk is seeking an experienced Live-in Housekeeper to maintain the properties with impeccable care. The role requires attention to detail in presentation and a proactive approach to organization. Suitable accommodation is provided, with the work consisting of Monday to Friday, and some weekend duties. The ideal candidate has past housekeeping experience and must drive.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper to take responsibility for the care and presentation of a beautiful 15-acre private estate in the Norfolk countryside. This peaceful estate, used by the family primarily at weekends and during school holidays, includes formal gardens, a productive kitchen garden, and wider grounds. It is a much-loved sanctuary for the family. From 2026, it will also serve as a retreat centre for leadership teams from affiliated businesses and charities.
Housekeeping & Cleaning: Impeccable care of the 3 properties on the estate, ensuring every room is beautifully maintained to the highest standard.
Presentation: An eye for detail in preparing the properties visually—for example, arranging seasonal flowers and decorations, creating centrepieces, and laying tables to enhance the guests’ experience.
Laundry & Wardrobe Care: Washing, ironing, and careful organisation of household linen.
Household Organisation: Keeping spaces tidy, well-stocked, and ready for family and guests at all times.
Guest & Event Support: Assisting with events and hosting duties to ensure seamless experiences.
Teamwork & Communication: Liaising closely with the General Manager, following instructions, and contributing positively to the team.
People Management: Managing additional internal/external ‘turnaround’ staff as required.
Supplies Management: Monitoring and replenishing household essentials.
Errands: Supporting with shopping, deliveries, and general household tasks as needed.
Please note: Gardening, maintenance, and handyman duties are handled by external contractors and are not part of this role.

Accommodation: Nearby suitable accommodation will be sourced for a live in candidate
Working Days: Monday to Friday, with some weekend work when required.
Hours: 8/9am – 4/5pm
Driving: Essential.
