Job Title: Live-in Maintenance Person
Location: Private Estate, Berkshire
Salary: £35,000 GPA 3 bed accommodation

About the Role:
An HNW client and his family are seeking a hands-on, competent Live-in Maintenance Person to support the upkeep of his private estate in Berkshire. The family is young at heart, down-to-earth and informal.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, long-standing estate team, including a gardening team, domestic couple (also live in) and an estate/project manager. You will be the right-hand person to the estate/project manager, assisting with property maintenance, keeping an eye on contractors, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the estate. The estate is in a rural location, set back in its own space, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable with countryside living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on property maintenance: remedial works, basic DIY, general upkeep of the house and estate buildings.
  • Monitoring contractors & deliveries: ensuring work is completed to standard.
  • Security presence: acting as on-site eyes and ears, responding to any issues (e.g., alarms).
  • Flexible approach: occasional weekend requirements (e.g., emergencies).
  • Driving duties: occasional drop-offs and errands (valid UK driving licence required).
  • Pet-friendly: the family has dogs and a cat that may be around.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Practical and skilled: experience in property maintenance, DIY, and general repairs.
  • Reliable and proactive: able to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Flexible and adaptable: happy to assist with varied tasks as needed.
  • Skills & tools: familiarity with property maintenance equipment.
  • Physically active: suited to the hands-on nature of the role.

Additional Information:

  • A furnished 3-bedroom house within the estate grounds (near the entrance).
  • Utilities covered.
  • Open to a partner and pets within the home.
  • Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (with very occasional ad-hoc weekend requirements).
