Job Details
  • Start: ASAP
  • Rota: 7 days on / 7 days off
  • Location: St Albans (AL3)
  • Pay: £170 p/d / £1,190 per week worked
  • Free accommodation whilst on shift
  • Holidays: 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata

An Automatic Driving licence is required to drive the client's adapted vehicle.

About The Job

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in somebody else's life. Our client is a wonderful young lady living in her family home with support from caring individuals. Your responsibilities will include:

Care experience is not required as full training will be provided.

About Our Client

She has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and is a full-time wheelchair user. She is training her assistance dog, Heckter, so comfort and confidence around dogs are essential. She enjoys TV series like Friends and Stranger Things and future plans include attending live music events. Your support will encompass all aspects of daily life to ensure her comfort and well-being.

Important notes from her:

  • She has a dry, cheeky sense of humor; ability to laugh and not take offense is important.
  • Speak to her as an adult; avoid childish language.
  • Dog lover preferred, as she has her own dog.
  • Weekend arrangements vary; being reachable on your phone is important.
  • If skilled in makeup, especially eyeliner, that’s a bonus!
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Automatic, clean driving license (essential)
  • Confident driver capable of driving her adapted vehicle
  • Sense of humor and ability to keep a light-hearted attitude
  • Physical fitness, patience, caring nature
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Mature, responsible attitude
