Job Description: Live-in Housekeeper

A wonderful client is seeking a confident live-in housekeeper to support their semi-formal family home. The family includes a small Pug dog and five members. A full-time Monday – Friday daily Nanny and a weekend Nanny are also employed. The housekeeper must be child-friendly.

Responsibilities:

1. Daily housekeeping for a 6-storey home
2. Care of delicate items and fine fabrics, including antiques, crystal, silver, and copper
3. Laundry, linen, and ironing
4. Clothing and wardrobe maintenance, including caring for delicate garments and seasonal changes
5. Preparing light breakfasts for the family
6. Greeting and looking after visitors and guests
7. Walking the dog three times daily, locally, with access to an enclosed private garden square nearby
8. Pet sitting during family travel
9. Twice-weekly babysitting, staying in the house while children sleep
10. Running household errands and provisioning as needed
11. Evening turn-down service and kitchen tidying
12. Watering and refreshing indoor flowers and front window boxes
13. Occasional assistance with dinner parties and entertaining
14. Occasional support with packing and unpacking luggage after holidays or business trips
15. Willingness to travel with the family a few times per year within the UK, Europe, and the USA

The ideal candidate will be well-presented, self-motivated, flexible, discreet, maintain high standards, and be eager to learn and follow instructions. Since the family has young children, a cheerful personality and enjoyment of being around children are essential.

Working Details:

• Workweek: Tuesday – Saturday (Days off: Sunday and Monday)
• Working hours: 7 am – 7 pm with breaks
• Accommodation: Large ensuite bedroom on the lower level with a separate entrance
• Additional weekly food stipend provided
