Job summary

Paymán Club is seeking dedicated staff in Stromness, Scotland, to ensure that guests have a comfortable stay and that their requests are met promptly. Responsibilities include maintaining high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas, handling special requests, and ensuring the security of the building.

Your role will include performing housekeeping tasks, ensuring laundry is well managed, and maintaining the garden area. This position plays a vital role in presenting a welcoming image to all guests.

• Clean rooms and public areas as needed.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties.
• Ensure gardens and outdoor areas are tidy.
• Inspect and report maintenance issues for laundry equipment.

Job description

• To ensure that each guest has a comfortable and enjoyable stay and that their needs are met in the best possible way – going above and beyond what is expected of us. Finally, to present an excellent image of our hotel at an extremely high level of Guest Services. Also, ensure that our properties are maintained and presented to the highest standard possible- guests entering a property should always feel like they are the first one to have ever stayed at the property.
• To Ensure the security of the building and guests
• To actively detect guests’ needs and resolve them
• To ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs and maintain updated records of bookings and payments in our Property Management System
• To deal with special requests from guests
• To report any issue detected
• To ensure supplies are available as necessary
• To ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to accommodate guests’ need.
• To provide basic housekeeping duties including replacing linens, changing and arranging the towels, emptying trash, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, and rearranging the room after guests check out.
• To clean rooms and public areas, including vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, cleaning glass and windows, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tie floors, and cleaning toilets.
• To ensure gardens look fully tidy and clean at all times. To ensure paved areas/slabs to be weed-free at all times.
• To look at all of the linens and treat any stains that is found.
• To place all laundry in the washer and add the cleaning agents as directed
• To take out the clothes and linens after washing and dry and iron them following the manufacturer's recommendations.
• To ensure all cleaning supplies are in stock and indicate any shortages to the general manager.
• To inspect laundry equipment visually and report any maintenance issues to the building management.
